Most people see something quite specific and are sure that is what they are looking at.
But if you tilt your head – or if you can turn your mobile device – you may get a surprise. What appears to be a frog sitting on a lily pad, morphs into something quite different.
The data reaching our brain is the same in each case, but the interpretation is wildly different. Which is why you do not see many people riding frogs these days.
Currently, in the UK, the people are divided over ‘Brexit’. It simply means quite different things to different people. To some it is the obvious way forward, to others an act of extreme folly. Both of these positions are mindsets. Both determine future behaviour.
Mindsets are shorthand ways of thinking. Finding out what our mindsets are, can allow us to move beyond them. If we choose to.
